The Jazz Band will perform original arrangements of classic jazz pieces including Blues in the Closet by Oscar Pettiford and Blue Bossa by Kenny Dorham. The program continues with Vince Guaraldi’s Christmas Time is Here from A Charlie Brown Christmas followed by one of Horace Silver’s most catchy hard-bop compositions.
The Jazz Rock Band’s set ranges from expressions of hardship to celebrations of friendship and love including Led Zeppelin’s arrangements of blues songs by Memphis Minnie and Howlin’ Wolf and iconic songs by Carole King, Billy Joel, Donny Hathaway, and Queen.
